Pivot Produce

Pivot is a produce distribution/warehousing company which sources produce from southern Arizona small scale farms, distributing to over 25 restaurants. Now in its 4th year, Pivot is experiencing rapid growth in sales and expansion of services. Pivot’s expansion projects include; a new Farm 2 Institution Pilot serving TUSD, TMC, and UA, community kitchen build out at the warehouse, planning a 2020 Community Supported Agriculture project, development of a heritage foods product line in collaboration with Ajo CSA… and much more!

Pivot Produce is looking for an intern to focus on research and development these exciting new projects. Help answer important questions like; What are best practices for aggregate CSA’s? What “Food Hubs” have succeeded and failed in these spaces? What community partnerships would help facilitate this work? and so on… The intern will also attend, and participate in meetings, associated with these upcoming projects.

This opportunity allows an intern to work closely with the owner of the company, Erik Stanford. Expectations include being available to meet in person at least once per week (with exceptions for summer vacations), though most of the work will completed remotely. In person meeting will take place at the warehouse office at 1019 S Euclid.
