Professor, School of Geography, Development & Environment

I study impacts of climate change on small-scale farmers in Zambia/Kenya with an emphasis on adaptation to drought. My research interests include:

  • Integration of social/environmental data including climate/meteorological data with farm decision-making.
  • Role of environmental governance in local-regional food systems.
  • Methods to monitor and evaluate drivers of food insecurity in urban areas (especially Sub-Saharan Africa).
