Food related research interests focus on climate change and food systems, including the impacts of climate on food systems, emissions from the food sector, and climate governance and food modeling and the use of surveys, interviews and GIS to understand the vulnerability of the poor, women, and small scale farmers to climate variability and change. I am the former chair of the international Global Environmental Change and Food Systems project (GECAFS) and an author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
